This is about new beginnings into a new world. All of the elements of sustenance are present. Shelter, food, water. Beings starting out on a life journey with circumstances not yet known. As always a celestial guide is present, enhancing and aiding the new undertaking.

This is a portrait of one of the nicest guys to ever walk this planet. Emilio Vaja, who I will always remember as someone I could count on for a smile and an "everything will be ok" attitude. This world certainly could use more of that.

3dPortrait-Mark

Here is a ZBrush sculpt/portrait of my good friend Mark. He is a sweetheart in real life and doesn't dress like this at ALL. So of course I decided to make him a badass in this portrait! Two different lighting setups. The top image is out of ZBrush and the bottom is out of Keyshot plus PS retouch.

Dakini-Guardian

I've always loved the idea of a Dakini. Protector energy. This character is based on someone I was watching on tv i think. If anyone knows who it is, please let me know. So yea, Dakini, wouldn't hurt to have one in your corner!

Earth,Sea,Sky

Everything humans needed was already within us when we arrived on this earth. We were completely connected to the planet and it's creative life force. This image reflects that the natural world is not only capable of nurturing, but also guidance if we are paying close attention.

This is the full image I have on my banner. This was done during a trip to the Omega Institute to see John of God from Brazil. It was a great trip and this ND drawing summed up the evenings perfectly.

We create, because we just can't help it. Follow your instincts, they may only make sense in the end.

There are things we go through, that change us forever. Still, there is an eternal self we return to.

Manifest Journey

The mythical beginning of time. The journey of the soul. The essential elements of life provided for by the universe. All we need do is move forward. Faithful in the purpose of existence as a progressive effort. 

Maui Life

I created this linework while on the island of Maui. Another ND drawing, prismacolor in a sketchbook, then I finished it out as a digital painting once I returned home. The spirit of Maui Life, fills my heart like nothing else.

'Continuum'

This painting is about the unseen connections between all visible things. Acknowledged or not, the connections exist and are the framework of the universe. We play, we create and everything is generated from a previous energy.

I gave an art talk describing my current mystical journey paintings and their origins as non dominant hand drawings. The evening was filled with a fun loving crowd and will be an evening I will always cherish.

Announcing a February showing of my work- I am very happy to be exhibiting at Sasha's Interior Design in Long Beach! I'll be giving a talk at the reception as well as hanging out and enjoying the ambiance!

This image is called "Arriving". It is about new souls coming in to this earth plane, not yet fully formed, just getting an awareness about what is to come. They are safely looked after by their spiritual guardians. This is another non-dominant hand drawing. The original ink scanned, then painted in photoshop.

Time is moving along into the final weeks of my show at USC Norris Cancer Research Hospital. I'm sorry to see it end because it's been such a highlight of my artistic life. If you find yourself in the area and want to stop by, the exhibit will be up until January 9. This is artwork I’ve created this past year as part of the Survivor Art Series. It is imagery reflecting the healing journey I have been on and the self expression that I feel is a very important part of that healing.
